How much carbon emissions are your guests producing to attend the wedding? Check out Native Energy's carbon calculator. Keep in mind, that to run an air conditioning unit for a year, 2 tons of emissions are generated.
To avoid some of this, or maybe just to give your friends and family who are not attending, a chance to "be a part of your special day" you could broadcast your ceremony on UStream. At least if they're not there they can have the chance to see that "little girl" <pinching of cheeks inserted here> get married.
Offset some of the carbon footprint of your guests travel by infusing Enviously Green ideas into your wedding. Donate to a charity or plant trees in your guests' names, send e-invites instead of paper ones, etc. Also don't forget to suggest carpooling, one car can fit more than one couple. The list goes on, but you'll just have to call me for that. ;)
